Maybe? But probably not. My ancestors are a fairly motley crew from all over Western Europe, but except for my maternal grandmother, I don’t really have ties to the “Old World.” My maternal grandmother was born to Italian immigrants. I don’t know if she was born before or after they immigrated, but if it was before, she was certainly very young when they did so. I was raised to identify as Italian or Irish, ethnically, but that doesn’t really impact my day to day so much cuz they’ve both been assimilated into “White American” by now.
